Concept Boat 2006
The Concept Boat 2006 competition has now closed. The theme for the competition was to a design a boat for recreational or commercial craft of up to 24m lengths the theme called ‘Tow a Boat ’
10 short listed entries were chosen and the winner and runner-ups were announced at the London Boat Show 2007. The entrants are highlighted below, click on the image for further information about the designs. The 2006 winners are:
Overall winner in the Concept and Design Category: Matteo Signorini from Munich Germany. Origami Boat.
Joint runners up in the Concept and Design Category: David Hitchen from Argll, Scoland, Waterway Explorer. Derek Kelsall from New Zealand, Kiss Kat 26.
Winner in the Pure Concept category: Chris Challoner from St Albans, Herfordshire. The Nutshell.
Runner up in the Pure Concept category: A Monteath from Haslemere, Surrey, Aquavan.
